By accessing or using the Steerplan mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The App is operated by Steerplan Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
Steerplan is an AI-powered personal finance intelligence platform that helps you understand your spending, income, and financial health. The App provides features including transaction categorisation, spending analysis, savings pot tracking, budget management, and AI-driven financial insights.
You must create an account to use the App. Authentication is handled through Clerk, a third-party authentication provider. You may sign in using Google, Apple, or X (formerly Twitter) OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
Steerplan offers two tiers:
Free: Connect up to 1 bank account, 10 AI messages per day, and access to core features.
Pro (£14.99/month): Unlimited bank connections, unlimited AI messages, and access to all premium features.
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple's App Store via RevenueCat. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Steerplan connects to your bank accounts through Yapily, an FCA-authorised Open Banking provider. By connecting a bank account, you authorise Yapily to access your transaction data on your behalf. You may disconnect your bank account at any time through the App's settings. We do not store your banking credentials.
The App uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide financial insights, transaction categorisation, and conversational analysis. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. You should not rely solely on AI outputs for financial decisions.
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property in the App are owned by Steerplan Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steerplan Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated insights or financial data.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we deem harmful to other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
